Week in Review: 16th June - 22nd

Monday

  • First day back to work after being in France and having last week off.
  • I was a little worried there would be more bugs before the 4.6 release but everything seems to be going well.
  • Completed a couple GreatFrontend practice questions as I had some downtime.
  • Gym at lunch for the first time in a while, trying to stay on top of my IT band niggle.
  • Caught up with Mikey in the evening, cooked dinner, watered the plants and spent some time editing the France video. Way too much footage!

Tuesday

  • Went for a walk with Tash and Milo first thing.
  • Quiet day at work considering the big release is tomorrow.
  • Had another meeting with our builder to discuss loft conversion plans. Really exciting to speak through it all.

Wednesday

  • 4.6 release went out. After months of hard work it finally came to an end. It genuinely feels like we’ve turned a corner towards moving onto project Atlas.
  • Lunch with work to celebrate the release.
  • Run after work with Ben.

Thursday

  • Watered the plants in the morning.
  • Lunch run with Andrew, nice to catch up after being away for 4 weeks.
  • Had fun learning about some JavaScript quirks.
  • Took Milo for a walk in the new running buggy. Very epic, can’t wait to take him for his first run.
  • Edited holiday video in the evening.

Friday

  • Day in the office.
  • Couple of meetings and then spent the afternoon doing some tutorials on the this keyword in JavaScript.

Saturday

  • Tash and I took Milo for his first run in the new running buggy. He loved it but is still a bit small for it. We did 5km and he was asleep by the end.

Sunday

  • Had a nice lunch with our neighbours Anthony and Saria.
  • Heather and Josh came over in the afternoon and we went on the park garden trail. Josh and I looked quite funny with our babybjorns on and got lots for comments from the oldies in the park.
  • Very impressive to see all the gardens again, and some new ones I hadn’t seen before.
