Week in Review: 9th June - 15th June
Monday
- Let Tash have a lie in this morning whilst I looked after Milo.
- Took him up around 9am am and then went for a solo bike ride.
- I love the ride behind the house, up to the ridge via Betchat. You get some stunning views of the valley and the mountains. Its days like these that make me want to move out to the south of France but knowing we can come out on holiday is good enough. We need to make the most of it.
- Nadia, Tash, Sam, Milo and I went on a short walk around St. Lizier and then met Gra and Grampy for lunch at lat Grange where Saskia works. Food and atmosphere was lovely.
- Finished building the wall in the afternoon with Same which was good fun. Pretty fun bulding a wall, not sure I’d do it for a job though.
Tuesday
- Slow start to the day, already roasting by the time I woke up. Managed a run before lunch and then chilled for the rest of the day.
- Couple of swims, siesta and then fixed dark mode for my website.
Wednesday
- Tash lost the rign her grandmother gave her. Spent the previous evening and morning looking for it everywhere but no luck.
- Saskias birthday today so Tash’s mum cooked a big lunch for us all.
- Really hot again today, 30 degrees so will be chilling by the pool
Thursday
- Last full day in France before heading back to the UK tomorrow.
- Took he dog Teddy to the vet to get an x-ray to see if he had eaten the ring. There is history here, a couple of months ago he ate a hearing aid that needed to be retrieved from him. Poor doggo, luckly sccan came back clear this time.
- No ring found, even went through the compoost bin..
- Spent the rest of the day swimming and packing.
- Frinds of Tash’s parents arrived for the week so we had a lovely evening with them.
Friday
- Woke up to fog in the valley and went for a run.
- Packed up the car and said our goodbyes to Tash’s parents.
- Drove to Toulouse airport and flew back to London.
- Craze hot in the UK, close to 30 degrees. Wasn’t best please when the bus driver told us the air conditioning was broken. It was a sweaty journey home.
- So nice to be back home with Milo and Tash.
Saturday
- Woke up early and unpacked everything from the trip, unpacked ocado delivery.
- Car battery was dead so we had to as the students next door to give us a jump start.
- Went to the garden center for a few bits and bobs and to charge the car battery.
- Spent the afternoon in the garden, mowing the lawn and tidying up.
Sunday
- Met Hugh and gang at Chathsworth house for a lovely walk.
- Lunch at Edensor tea rooms.
- Sepnt he afternoon in the garden, mostly tidying up and watering.
