Week in Review: 17th Mar - 23th Mar

Monday

  • Went into the office anticipating a I would need to take a day at home mid week.

Tuesday

  • Release the second hotfix in two weeks.
  • Had an interview to discuss the take home test. Seemed very positive. They were impressed with the ammount of testing I had done and the implementation of Redux toolkit.
  • Tash’s parents had firends visiting which was but the day felt a bit chaotic.
  • Went to James’ leaving dinner in town. We went to Taquero. The food was good but not worth the price in my opinion. Going out is getting expensive at the moment, 2 drinks and a meal cost me close to £50!
  • Nice to see everyone and say goodbye to James. Very sad to see him go, definitley the end of an era.

Wednesday

  • Busy day at work.
  • Had to give an interview for a QA position.

Thursday

  • Weather was beatiful so I went for a run around Wollaton at lunch time.
  • Had to give another interview for a QA position.
  • AIhub team weren’t able to release so lots of time spent trying to figuer out why there were having issues.

Friday

  • Had the day off today.
  • Rode the bike in the morning before Tash’s family came over for breakfast.
  • Drove to the Barrel Inn, Bretton for lunch. It is a lovely pub with a great view over the Peak District. Apparenlty it is the highest pub in Derbyshire.
  • Drove to Chatsworth House for a walk around the gardens. It was a lovely day and the gardens were beautiful.
  • Got the rejection email from the interview I had on Tuesday. I was a bit disappointed but I think it was for the best. I don’t think I would have enjoyed working there.
  • Picked up some things from the farm shop on the way home.
  • Had a quiet evening in.

Saturday

  • Managed to ride the bike again before Tash’s family came over for coffee.
  • Walked into town with Tash, Milo and her Mum. We got soaked on the way back.
  • Watched Paddington in Peru in the afternoon. I can see why critics came down on it but I thought it was a fun film.

Sunday

  • Slow start to the day, had a bit of a lie in with Milo and then went for a run. Managed 10km which is more than I’ve ran in a while. Locked in after around 6km.
  • Tash’s mum came over and cooked lunch.
  • Had a quiet afternoon doing admin (accounts) and DIY (curtain pole fell down).
