Week in Review: 13th Jan - 19th Jan
The most life-changing week yet—our baby boy arrived.
After an intense but incredible labour, Tash gave birth to our son at 21:24 on Monday. Seeing him for the first time was the most surreal and emotional moment of my life. Since her waters had broken more than 24 hours earlier, Tash and the baby had to stay in the hospital overnight for monitoring. Leaving them there to get some rest was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
The next day was all about adjusting—feeding, checkups, and navigating the first few hours of parenthood. By Wednesday, we were finally able to bring our baby home, greeted by perfect weather and the incredible support of Tash’s parents, who made sure we were fed and rested. The days that followed were a mix of joy, exhaustion, and figuring things out—midwife visits, sleepless nights, first walks, and the reality of newborn life kicking in.
By Sunday, my parents arrived to meet their grandson, making the end of the week even more special. This week changed everything, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
