Week in Review: 30th Dec - 5th Jan

The final days of 2024 and the start of the new year were a mix of good company, relaxation, and getting back into routine. I spent time with friends over breakfast and had a chilled New Year’s Eve at Ella’s, where surprisingly few of us were drinking. The first day of 2025 was low-key—sorting admin and helping Tash hit her step goal.

Work resumed on Thursday, mostly catching up on merge requests, but Friday brought unexpected headaches when an IT update broke my WSL networking. Fortunately, the week ended on a good note with a swim and sauna, Parkrun with Tash and James, and lunch at Mikey’s, where we learned the importance of loft hatches the hard way.

I also spent some time figuring out my website setup, considering moving my Docusaurus project into a monorepo, and diving deeper into indie web development.

A steady start to 2025, easing back into work and planning what’s next.
